Cardiac Stress Testing

Imaging Services of Northeastern PA is located on Franklin Avenue in Scranton. Nuclear scanning of the heart shows how well blood flows to the heart muscle. It is usually done in conjunction with an exercise stress test on a treadmill, but can also be performed using medicines such as adenosine. Cardiac Stress Testing and MUGA scans are performed at Imaging Services of Northeastern PA.

The equipment at the cardiac testing facility was recently upgraded with two new dual head gamma cameras. The new gamma cameras will provide the latest technology available today for cardiac imaging. This new technology acquires the images faster, which will reduce the patient scan time considerably.
